To ensure originality, transparency, and credibility of published research, the journal enforces a strict Plagiarism and AI-Generated Content Policy in accordance with COPE guidelines.

  • Direct copying of text, figures, tables, or ideas without proper citation

  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication without disclosure

  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of previously published work without acknowledgment

  • Unauthorized use of unpublished or copyrighted material

All submitted manuscripts are screened using reliable plagiarism detection software before peer review.

Acceptable Similarity Index

  • The overall similarity index must be within acceptable limits as defined by the journal

  • Manuscripts showing significant plagiarism will be rejected without review

  • Authors may be asked to revise manuscripts with minor similarity issues

Plagiarism detected after publication may result in article retraction, correction, or other actions as per COPE recommendations.

AI-Generated Content Policy

IJERAS recognizes the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing; however, transparency and author accountability are essential.

  • Manuscripts must not contain more than 20% AI-generated content

  • AI tools may be used for language editing, grammar checking, or formatting support only

  • AI tools must not be used to generate research data, results, interpretations, or conclusions

  • Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the content

Authors must ensure that AI-generated text does not include fabricated references, incorrect data, or misleading information.

Disclosure Requirement

  • If AI tools are used at any stage of manuscript preparation, authors should clearly disclose this in the manuscript or cover letter

  • Failure to disclose AI usage may be treated as ethical misconduct

Consequences of Policy Violation

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript

  • Notification to authors’ institutions in severe cases

  • Restriction on future submissions to IJERAS
